Testimony & Call to the Ministry

When I was ten years old my grandmother shared the good news of the gospel with me. Though, I don’t remember the date, I clearly remember the day I bowed my head and asked the Lord Jesus to be my Savior. From that day forward my eternity was settled. However, growing up through my teenager years, I never developed a true walk with God. This led to poor decisions and a poor choice in friends. Naturally, I was carnal and miserable. As high school ended I had no direction and no ambition to do anything with my life. Providentially, the Lord would use the Air Force to move me two thousand miles away and place me in an environment where I needed Him. As a young man in the service I was lonely and longed for a family, a place to belong. I found that family in an old fashion KJV Bible-believing church.
Over the last twelve years the Lord utilized the experiences of the Air Force, Bible College, family life, and the local church to shape and refine His vision for my life. I’ve had the privilege to belong to three wonderful churches through which I was discipled, called, trained, equipped, and now sent out to do the work of the ministry. I love the local church and I count it an honor to be entrusted to reproduce it on the foreign field.

Being raised in church gave me head knowledge of Christ, but one morning after Bible study, my mother led me to the Lord. That day, at the age of twelve I knew Him in my heart. Throughout my teenage years I had the privilege to watch the examples of many godly women. Those influences led me to surrender my life to Jesus to use however He saw fit.
I consider it a great privilege and tremendous honor to serve the Lord alongside my husband in Puerto Rico. I am thrilled and can’t wait to see how He will use our family. No matter what may come I am determined to say, “Yes” to Him.
